Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the workshop take place?

Our upcoming workshops take place at Craft Central, an artist studio collective in East London. The address is The Forge, 397-411 Westferry Rd, Island Gardens, London E14 3AE. The closest tube station is Mudchute.

The class I wanted is sold out. Can I sign up to a waiting list?

Yes, if the class sells out please email us at and you’ll have first choice if someone drops out.

I need to cancel my workshop ticket. Do you offer refunds?

You can cancel your workshop ticket or opt to reschedule onto another workshop. However we are only able to offer refunds or transfers once someone else takes your spot. There are a lot of up-front costs involved in hosting and preparing for workshops so I am unable to offer refunds or transfers unless those costs are covered.

I’ve never woven before. Are your rug weaving workshops suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Each class includes a lot of hands-on support and one-to-one guidance. We will also be in touch with you in advance of the workshop to help you prepare.

I’d like to learn how to weave tufted rugs. Does this class cover this?

This class focuses on weaving flatwoven rugs (as seen in the above images). We do not cover tufting in this class due to the time-consuming nature of this rug weaving method. If you would like to learn to weave tufted rugs, we suggest signing up for our Rug Weaving On A Mirrix Loom online course.

Can I weave with something other than cotton or wool?

We understand that due to allergies or personal preferences, some people prefer not to work with cotton or wool. Unfortunately due to the costs involved in running this workshop, we are not able to accommodate different yarn choices. We recommend checking out our online courses instead.

Can I get a loom to take home?

Unfortunately we currently do not have looms available for students to purchase.Write your text here...
